The Business Journal held its eighth annual 60 Ideas in Sixty Minutes event virtually on Tuesday morning. The event, which began as a breakfast gathering in 2018, has remained an online presentation since the pandemic and continues to be free of charge.

Hundreds of viewers attended the live stream from Tangram Interiors showroom in north Fresno. The program featured six speakers recognized for their contributions to the local business community. Each speaker was invited to share ten ideas relevant to executive leadership.

Speakers included Mark Borba, president of Borba Farms; Paula De Young, executive vice president at De Young Properties; Jon Forrest Dohlin, CEO of Fresno Chaffee Zoo; David Fansler, entrepreneur and restaurateur with Fansler Restaurant Group; Genesis Ortiz Wilson, partner at Trayla Properties and chief operating officer of Dutch Bros Coffee Fresno; and Katie Zenovich, senior vice president for development and external affairs at Community Health System.

Organizers thanked presenting sponsor Bank of America, partner sponsors The Heart Group and Tangram Interiors, as well as event sponsors De Young Properties, Fansler Restaurant Group and Leadby for their support. “Without their support, this event wouldn’t be possible,” organizers said.

A booklet compiling each speaker’s ten ideas is available for download. For those who missed the live broadcast, a replay will be made available through social media channels and email newsletters. Audience members also had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session following the presentations.

The event aims to provide practical advice from local leaders that can be applied by executives across organizations.
