This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Marty Turock, executive director of Cleantech San Diego’s Southern California Energy Innovation Network. Judith Gomez, coordinator for Climate Action Pathways for Schools in Porterville, will receive the Youth Game-Changer award.

According to the California Energy Commission, “The Clean Energy Hall of Fame Awards honor local leaders making exceptional contributions to help California achieve a 100 percent clean energy future for all.”

The commission states that it is leading efforts toward a fully clean energy future in California by developing renewable energy sources, improving transportation systems, increasing efficiency measures, investing in innovation projects, advancing policy initiatives, certifying power plants, and preparing for potential energy emergencies.
