The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has announced its next Voting Meeting, scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 11 a.m. The meeting will take place at the CalEPA Coastal Hearing Room in Sacramento, with options for the public to participate either in person or remotely via webcast and phone.

According to the CPUC, these meetings are used to make decisions about essential services including energy, water, communications, and transportation in California. The agenda for this session includes several key proceedings. Among them is Item 39, which proposes to initiate a new interconnection rulemaking process. This proposal aims to refine how distributed energy resources connect to the state’s grid with a focus on improving safety, reliability, transparency, and cost efficiency as clean energy technologies continue to develop.

Each Voting Meeting begins with an opportunity for public comment. The CPUC encourages participation from all Californians whether they attend in person or join remotely.

Information regarding the meeting agenda, presentation materials, and details about remote access can be found on the CPUC’s website.

“Each meeting begins with public comment, and we welcome your voice whether you’re attending in person or calling in remotely.”

“Your input matters. We encourage everyone to participate and stay engaged in the decision-making process.”
