Each week, new filings are added to ongoing and new proceedings that impact utility services, communities, and consumers in California. These filings include Proposed Decisions open for public comment, as well as new complaints or applications that may influence future policy and regulatory actions.
Among the Proposed Decisions filed during the week of August 18–22, 2025, one grants compensation to The Utility Reform Network for its substantial contribution to Decision 24-06-024. Another Proposed Decision denies a Petition for Modification of Decision 22-12-009.
Several new complaints and applications were also submitted. Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) and Lakeside Pipeline LLC have applied to begin a reasonableness review of costs incurred during the Lakeside: Maas Energy Works Senate Bill (SB) 1383 Dairy Biomethane Pilot Project. The City of Oceanside has requested authority to construct a pedestrian underpass trail at Loma Alta Creek as part of the proposed Loma Alta Slough Wetlands Enhancement Project, pending Commission approval.
Additional complaints include one from Minturn Nut Company against Pacific Gas and Electric Company regarding service adequacy and charges, and another from Rebecca Flores, Trustee on behalf of The Cytah Flores Legacy Trust, also against Pacific Gas and Electric Company concerning service and billing issues.
The California Public Utilities Commission encourages public participation by allowing written comments on Proposed Decisions via each proceeding’s Docket Card. Individuals can also subscribe to specific proceedings using their numbers to receive updates, rulings, and notices.
