Each week, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) releases updates on new filings and ongoing proceedings that may affect utility services across the state. These filings include Proposed Decisions, complaints, and applications from various entities in the energy and telecommunications sectors.

For the week of October 20-24, 2025, several notable filings were added. A Proposed Decision was filed in Proceeding R2303007 on October 24, 2025. This decision concerns the timing and amount of the 2026 Wildfire Fund Non-Bypassable Charge and is currently open for public comment.

In addition to Proposed Decisions, new complaints and applications were also submitted. Liberty Utilities (CalPeco Electric) LLC filed an application (A2510010) on October 21, 2025, seeking authority to update its rates according to its Energy Cost Adjustment Clause and California Climate Credit starting January 1, 2026.

Another application (A2510011) was filed by Vested Networks LLC on October 16, 2025. The company is seeking registration as a telephone corporation under Section 1013 of the Public Utilities Code.

On October 21, Armando Diaz appealed a decision from August 2025 regarding a $4,000 issue with the CPUC Consumer Protection and Enforcement Division (K2510009).

The commission also reopened a longstanding case originally filed in July 2005 (A0507010). PacifiCorp and MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company are requesting exemption from certain approval requirements related to PacifiCorp’s acquisition by MidAmerican under specific sections of the Public Utilities Code.

The CPUC encourages public participation in these proceedings. Written comments can be submitted directly through each proceeding’s Docket Card online. Additionally, stakeholders can subscribe to individual proceedings using their numbers to receive ongoing updates and notifications about rulings or other developments.

For more information about these filings or how to participate in regulatory processes affecting utilities in California, interested parties are advised to consult official CPUC resources online.
