Disney has launched its annual World Princess Week, featuring a range of events, new content, and products celebrating the legacy of Disney princesses. The week is part of the ongoing “Create Your World” campaign, which aims to encourage children to use their imaginations and believe in themselves.
“For over a century, Disney has enchanted audiences across generations with timeless stories that ignite the imagination, and Disney princesses remain an enduring part of our storytelling—inspiring kids and fans of all ages to go beyond dreaming big, to doing big things. We created this special musical brand spot in celebration of World Princess Week, the countless Disney Princess fans around the world, and the limitless power of their imaginations,” said Mallory Wang, Vice President of Brand Marketing at The Walt Disney Company.
The celebration began with the release of a new musical brand spot titled “All Princesses Make Magic,” featuring music by Grammy Award winner Jacob Collier. The video tells the story of two sisters who use inspiration from Disney princesses to create a surprise birthday party for their mother. Santino Fontana appears as their father in the spot.
A concert event will be available on YouTube on August 29 and later on Disney+, titled “Disney Princess Concert: Celebrating 70 Years of Disneyland.” The performance features Auli‘i Cravalho (Moana), Jodi Benson (Ariel), Paige O’Hara (Belle), and Anika Noni Rose (Tiana). Ginnifer Goodwin and Susan Egan serve as hosts for the event filmed at Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle.
On August 27, a video will premiere on Disney’s YouTube channel showing Jodi Benson riding “The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure” with singer Lauren Paley. They discuss how Ariel and other princesses have influenced fans worldwide.
New merchandise is being released as part of World Princess Week. These include dresses from Jakks Pacific, bracelets from Little Words Project, eyewear from DIFF Eyewear, reimagined rings from Pandora, Squishmallows box sets, Cakeworthy apparel collections, and an advent calendar at Disney Store locations. Recent product launches also include Mattel’s Pet Palace sets and LEGO’s Princess Castle & Royal Pets set.
Several new books are now available for readers interested in princess-themed stories. These include “Disney Princess: Princesses Love School!,” “Disney Princess Enchanted Character Guide,” a boxed set of Little Golden Books, and “Tiana’s Perfect Plan” by Anika Noni Rose.
Disney+ is offering new programming such as “LEGO Disney Princess: Villains Unite” and a continuous stream dedicated to princess stories for Premium subscribers. Subscribers can also enter sweepstakes for prizes including vinyl records and toy bundles through disneyplus.com/perks.
Families can watch behind-the-scenes content about animal sidekicks inspired by real species on NatGeoKids’ YouTube channel. Additional content related to princesses will roll out during the year on ABC and Hulu.
Music releases include a collector’s edition zoetrope vinyl celebrating Tangled’s 15th anniversary—available for pre-order via Disney Music Emporium—and the “Disney Princess Strings: Garden Soirée” album streaming on major platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. There will also be a North American tour called “Disney’s Moana Live-To-Film Concert,” beginning October 3 in Morristown, New Jersey.
In partnership with Make-A-Wish Foundation, more than 100 children worldwide are receiving experiences tied to World Princess Week. Activities range from attending live concerts at Disneyland Park to themed adventures at Disneyland Paris or aboard Disney Cruise Line ships docked in Rome. Each year thousands of wishes involving Disney princesses are granted by the company globally.
