Fresno State University will soon have a new food option on campus with the opening of a Dunkin’ Donuts location later this month. The shop, which will be the first Dunkin’ Donuts in the Fresno-Clovis area, is set to open just east of the Fresno State Library on the lower level of the University Center, in the space previously occupied by Taco Bell Express.

Nicole Lane, executive director of auxiliary services at Fresno State, confirmed that the donut and coffee shop is scheduled for a soft launch on Monday, October 21. “The Dunkin’ Donuts will be a franchise location with University Dining Services operating the venue,” Lane said. The store will cover 2,119 square feet.

Dunkin’ Donuts plans to offer its full menu at this location, including breakfast sandwiches, pastries, specialty coffee and tea drinks. The hours of operation are expected to be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Weekend hours may change depending on campus events.

A university spokesperson noted that some painting, electrical and plumbing work remains before opening day. Equipment installation and furniture setup are planned for next week.

Megan Sarantos, director of dining services at Fresno State, said she expects to hire between 25 and 35 student staff members for the new shop.

To help customers find their way to the new location, directional signage will be placed near the University Center and parking lot P31. The university also indicated that if off-campus demand is high after opening, they may work with Traffic Operations to manage access accordingly.
