The Porterville Chamber of Commerce has selected The Exchange Club as its 2025 Nonprofit of the Year. This recognition highlights the club’s longstanding service to the Porterville community.

The Exchange Club, which has been active in Porterville for over six decades, is known for supporting youth, veterans, families, and public safety efforts. It is run entirely by volunteers and organizes several annual events. Among these are the Veteran’s Day Parade—described as the longest-running Veterans Day parade in the United States—the National Night Out event, and the Battle Cross Memorial at Porterville High School.

The organization also promotes local leadership by holding weekly meetings and collaborating with other groups in the area. It contributes to mentorship initiatives through its involvement with Excell Club, a student-led group at Granite Hills High School.

According to a statement from The Porterville Chamber of Commerce: “The Exchange Club of Porterville has served the community for more than 60 years, supporting youth, veterans, families and public safety initiatives throughout the area.”

All honorees will be recognized at the chamber’s Annual Awards & Installation Ceremony scheduled for November 21 at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Porterville.
