A new endowment has been launched by the Fresno Forward Foundation to provide ongoing support for the Fresno County Chamber’s educational programs. The Fresno Forward Endowment aims to ensure stable, long-term funding for a range of initiatives that serve local students, future leaders, and workforce talent.

The foundation oversees several programs such as the Young Entrepreneurs Program (YEP), Leadership Fresno, Small Business University, San Joaquin Political Academy, and Business News. These offerings are designed to strengthen connections between business, education, and the broader community.

Chamber CEO Scott Miller stated, “The Fresno Chamber’s mission extends beyond advocacy, it includes cultivating the leaders, workforce, and innovators who will shape tomorrow’s Fresno. Investing in the endowment ensures that the programs shaping Fresno’s future workforce will remain strong, innovative, and accessible well into the future.”

The initial contribution establishing the endowment came from Steve Geil and his family. Geil founded Geil Enterprises with his wife Eileen in 1986; since then it has become one of Central California’s largest security and janitorial companies. Both Steve Geil and his son Jason have previously served as Chairs of the Board of Directors.

According to organizers, management of the endowment will focus on preserving its principal while providing annual financial support to enhance and expand educational programming.
