Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) has been recognized as one of the best small airports in the United States by the USA Today 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards. The award highlights FAT’s convenient location and its ongoing expansion, which have contributed to making it a reliable choice for nonstop flights.

USA Today 10BEST is known for spotlighting top destinations, attractions, and travel experiences across several categories. In this year’s awards, FAT was commended not only for its accessibility but also for its cleanliness and efficient passenger experience. The airport’s terminal lobby features large Sequoia tree replicas, providing travelers with an introduction to one of the region’s most notable natural landmarks.

“This national accolade would not have been possible without the unwavering commitment to safety, security, and hospitality from our airport community,” said FAT Interim Director of Aviation Francisco Partida. “We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our travelers and to the community members who support and fly Fresno Yosemite International Airport each and every day.”

The selection process involved nominations from travel experts and editors at USA Today 10BEST, followed by public voting.
