Fresno State’s master of arts students are presenting a group exhibition titled “Into the Chaosmos” at the M Street Gallery, located in the Fresno State Graduate Art Studios at 1419 M St. in downtown Fresno. The opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 4, from 5 to 8 p.m., coinciding with ArtHop. The exhibition will also be accessible to the public on Saturday, Dec. 13, from noon to 4 p.m., and again during ArtHop on Thursday, Jan. 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. Admission is free for all viewings.

The show features works by Thomas Andrade, Moises Gante, Kambrya Bailey, Jasmine Rodriguez, Tarynn A-Tvo, Brandi Nuse-Villegas and Sherril Royse. These artists explore the concept of chaosmos through art practice-based research.

“‘Into the Chaosmos’ is a philosophical idea originally conceived by the novelist and poet James Joyce, later expanded by the philosophers Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. The concept captures the act of unfolding new forms of thought and experience through the coexistence of chaos and order as a generative force,” according to event organizers. “The exhibition celebrates how artists transform turbulence into creative form, revealing chaos as a source of renewal where new aesthetic meanings and sensations continually unfold.”
