On Giving Tuesday, a global day dedicated to charitable giving, Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines (GDA | TLC) launched its Holidays of Hope fundraiser. The organization is seeking donations to support its mission of providing service dogs to individuals in need.

According to the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), GDA | TLC is their preferred charity. Donations made as part of this campaign will help military veterans with PTSD, people who are blind or visually impaired, and children with autism gain access to trained service dogs.

“Each donation you make today will directly benefit a military veteran with PTSD, a person who is blind or visually impaired, or a child with autism who needs the life-changing confidence, love, and hope that a service dog provides,” the organization stated.

The fundraising effort encourages supporters to contribute on Giving Tuesday, following the consumer-focused events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The initiative aims to highlight the impact that community contributions can have on improving lives through service animals.
