IAM District 837 and Boeing Defense have announced that they will resume contract negotiations on Monday. Both parties will be joined by a federal mediator in an attempt to resolve the ongoing strike.

In a statement, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) District 837 said: “The bargaining committees for Boeing and IAM 837 have agreed to return to negotiations on Monday with the help of a federal mediator in an effort to find a path to end the strike.”

The IAM represents about 600,000 active and retired members in various industries across North America, including aerospace, defense, airlines, shipbuilding, rail, transit, healthcare, and automotive.
