The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) recently held its 2025 Joint Air Transport Safety Committee (JATSC) Conference at the William W. Winpisinger Center in Hollywood, Maryland. The event focused on several key areas, including the promotion of collaborative safety programs such as the Ground Safety Action Program. The committee also emphasized efforts to prevent injuries, reduce hazards, support training and education, and advocate for strong worker safety reporting systems.

Throughout the conference, daily video wrap-up reports were produced to summarize the sessions. These reports included presentations on topics such as distracted driving and workplace issues related to carelessness and complacency.

The IAM continues to prioritize worker safety in the air transport sector by encouraging participation in safety programs and fostering a culture of hazard awareness and prevention.
