Taylor Swift has revealed her engagement to Travis Kelce, sharing images on Instagram that highlight a distinctive diamond ring. The ring features an old mine brilliant cut diamond, a style that dates back to the 18th century and was designed to catch light from candles.
Tree Paine, Swift’s publicist, confirmed the diamond’s vintage cut but did not share additional details about the stone or its setting. According to a representative for Swift, the engagement ring was designed by Kindred Lubeck.
Kindred Lubeck operates Artifex Fine Jewelry in New York and is known for hand engraving and collecting vintage jewelry. She is also the daughter of Jay Lubeck, a goldsmith based in Neptune Beach, Florida. The ring’s design includes a yellow gold bezel setting, complementing its antique style.
In one of the photos posted online, Swift stands with Kelce in a garden while wearing a striped Ralph Lauren dress and her Cartier watch.
Old mine brilliant cut diamonds are typically boxy with rounded corners and feature 58 large facets. This type of cut was originally crafted to maximize sparkle under candlelight.
Artifex Fine Jewelry did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the engagement ring.
