The hot dog chain Wienerschnitzel has opened a new restaurant in Porterville, marking its first location in the Tulare County area. The opening event took place on Saturday at 1034 W. Olive Ave., where guests were offered free chili dogs, ice cream cones, and branded merchandise.

This new establishment is the first franchise for owner Adel Joudi. The restaurant will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a drive-thru available until midnight.

Wienerschnitzel’s menu includes chili cheese dogs, junkyard dogs, chili cheese fries, and Southern lemonades. The company was established in 1961 in Wilmington, California, and has since become the largest hot dog chain globally, serving over 120 million hot dogs each year.

“Wienerschnitzel’s high-quality American comfort food will feature chili cheese dogs, junkyard dogs and chili cheese fries, as well as the brand’s Southern lemonades.”
