Wild Water Adventure Park in Clovis has started construction on a new endless river attraction, marking a significant development for the park. The groundbreaking event took place on Tuesday afternoon and was attended by local officials and community members.
Kathy Siggers, whose husband founded Wild Water Adventure Park in 1973, highlighted the importance of the new feature. “This is a major addition. It’s going to change the flow of the park attendance throughout the day, and it’s going to reorganize how we do things,” Siggers said. She also noted the park’s reliance on local support: “We’re a mom-and-pop organization. We depend on the community support for every milestone we’ve met.”
The planned endless river will stretch over 900 feet and include a zero-depth beach-style entry as well as multiple access points. The project also calls for food and beverage pop-ups along the river route. According to Siggers, this addition has been considered for many years. “It’s a ride that everyone’s been asking for for a long time. It’s been on our drawing board for 25 years,” she said.
The new attraction will be built in an empty field located west of the current water slides, within the western section of the 52-acre park.
Fresno County Supervisor Nathan Magsig attended the event and shared his personal connection to Wild Water Adventure Park. “This property is something that’s created memories for generations,” Magsig stated. “As long as I’m a supervisor here in Fresno County, you will continue to have my support.”
